Gitanjali by Rabindranath Tagore is my favourite book because it is a collection of poetry for every possible mood — melancholy, loss, love, dedication and so much more. It has the power to leave us mesmerised, agonised and enthralled.

I am a complete movie buff! I have particular favourites for different moods. If my world feels like it is crashing, Roman Holiday or Love Actually are my go-to films. I love old Hindi movies like Rajnigandha, Arth, which redefined the role of women. Finally, The Shawshank Redemption — is my all time favourite.

Although, I do not play soccer or understand it deeply, I love it! My son plays soccer and he loves it; it has given us a space where he gets to be a teacher and I learn from him. Also, we were in the US, when they won the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup and in that moment, all of us fell in love with Mia Hamm, Brandi Chastain and of course, soccer.

Curd, rice and spicy Andhra pickles like avakaya and gongura are almost unbeatable. However, Spaghetti Aglio e Olio is my ultimate comfort food.

I love road trips. It is a wonderful way to spend time together, it gives you the option to stop whenever you want to relax, enjoy a site and I love that flexibility. I’ve been on road trips through France, Italy, the US, India, the UK, Canada, Mexico and I enjoyed them all.
