Father, Son and Co.: My life at IBM and Beyond by Thomas J Watson and Peter Petre is a book that has inspired me. It talks about succession and business transformation in each generation. It helped me gain an insight on the issues faced by family businesses, irrespective of geography.

Watching The Bicycle Thief was the best 90 minutes of my life. By relating to the protagonist’s struggles, the helplessness and desperation of his family, one can be grounded and humble. Additionally, I am also a fan of fiction movies like Star Wars, Star Trek and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Golf is a sport where you are your own opponent and it motivates me each time I play it. It is a game that is a true test of one’s character and grit. Every game on the same golf course is different and a test of your mental strength.

Although I am a foodie, simple, south Indian food which I can savor anytime and anywhere like idli-sambar, Mysore masala dosa, rice and rasam, curd rice with pickle is my comfort food.

It is a very humble and liberating experience to rejuvenate in The Himalayas. Walking amidst the beauty of nature, surrounded by ice-capped mountains made me realise that I am a speck in its vastness.
